This tour goes through the Vulkan Eifel, along the Moselle and through the Hunsrück.
The tour starts close to the Motorhotels Am Vulkanberg and Am Ceresplatz centrally in Manderscheid. We drive via Bad Bertrich to the Moselle (nice descent) and follow it for a while. When we cross the Moselle we arrive in the beautiful Hunsrück. Near Trier we return to the Eifel via the Moselle.
This route alternates between roads with fast curves and roads with tight hairpin bends.
There are few food and beverage outlets on the road. So for lunch at Birkenfeld just leave the route and drive into the town and you will find various food and beverage outlets with a terrace.
In general, you will only find catering establishments that are open in the larger towns.
