The area has been an open heath landscape for many years, featuring a mosaic of vegetation. It has served as a grazing area for the old village community in Bjergby. The Præstegårdsbakkerne was designated as a protected area in 2013 with the aim of preserving valuable glacial landscape.
Please note that cycling and riding are not allowed, and dogs must be kept on a leash. Care should be taken around grazing animals. Waste can be disposed of at the Activity House Solhjem, where it is also possible to park in the parking lot Peterspladsen and next to the Activity House Solhjem near the information boards.
It is recommended to wear sturdy footwear, as there are wet areas, as well as something that covers the legs.
