Fuente de Catalina de Ribera - Seville

The monument to Catalina de Ribera dates from 1921 and was designed by Juan Talavera y Heredia.

It consists of several frescoes , a tile with a portrait of Catherine and a bas-relief from the 16th century. There is a fountain at the base of the monument. The monument is located on the wall that separates this promenade from the Alcázares . Below Catalina's portrait is a stone slab with a text and below it a bas-relief depicting two mythological creatures holding a vase of fruit.

Catalina de Ribera y Mendoza was a 16th-century noblewoman who contributed financially to the founding of the Hospital de las Cinco Llagas in the city. In 1895, the city named this promenade after her.
