The Restefond fort, or Restefond barracks, is a barracks located at an altitude of 2,558 m, about 2 km below the false pass of Restefond, descending towards Jausiers, at the foot of Restefond.
Prior to the barracks built under the Maginot law, the fort was used during the construction of the Maginot works in the Restefond sector and also served as a rear logistics base during the battles of June 1940.
