Beautiful, typical 16th/17th-century house with blue shutters and outbuildings on the left. Of these, the left-most barn, with its wooden lintel typical of Langres plateau dwellings, features a reused sink stone on the right jamb, with its drain clearly visible. To the right, a small arched doorway is typical of the period, having replaced an entrance shed formerly covered by a wooden lintel.
The house behind the large cross, with its blue shutters, is even more typical of the late 16th century, with its street-facing gable and storey level denoting urban characteristics also found in Montsaugeon. With its perfectly superimposed paired windows on the ground and first floors, the layout is typical of the period, further enhanced by the projecting molded shelf on the second floor. To the right, the stairs of a stepped cellar entrance can be seen, protected in modern times by a stone aedicula that replaced a now-destroyed domestic oven projecting from the street, the opening of which can still be seen just above this staircase.
