Route along the Meuse by bike: Neufchâteau - Vaucouleurs

The Meuse by Bike / EuroVelo 19 is an international route of over 1000 km that, following the Meuse, connects the Langres plateau, where the river sources in Pouilly-en-Bassigny, to the North Sea.

During this route, which allows the use of greenways and small low-traffic country roads, cyclists pass through part of the territories of the West Vosges and the Meuse.

Highlight of the stage: start by discovering Neufchâteau, a Remarkable Heritage Site and a town listed among the 100 Most Beautiful Detours of France before heading to the places where Joan of Arc went.
First, discover the village of Domremy-la-Pucelle with its birthplace and the Basilica of Saint Joan of Arc that overlooks the Meuse valley. Then take the roads and paths that the Lorraine shepherdess frequented before arriving at Vaucouleurs. There, you will notably discover the Porte de France, the castle chapel, as well as the only museum in France dedicated to Joan of Arc.
