The stream valley landscape of central Limburg is characterized by a stream valley. A stream valley is a lower-lying area in the cover sand region of the Netherlands, through which a stream flows. This type of valley must be carefully distinguished from river valleys, which is possible based on the soil type. Stream valleys are narrower than river valleys, and the valley floor slopes slightly towards the stream.
