Duiven ) is a town in the Dutch province of Gelderland. From 1986 to 1994 Duiven was a growing municipality. Since 1995, she has focused mainly on the management and maintenance of her properties and territory. On the last Sunday in August, the annual sacrament procession takes place in Duiven. It is quite special that in Duiven, and a few other places in the area, including Huissen, Groessen and Loo, the procession still goes in public. In the time of the Reformation, Catholics in the Northern Netherlands were not allowed to profess their faith in public at all, let alone hold a procession.
