The Hondsbossche and Pettemer Seawall was built in 1880 after the natural dunes were breached by repeated floods. You follow the cycle path on top of the dike along the coastline. Over the years, a new natural biotope has been created on this artificial barrier, which now forms a protected nature reserve. Along the way there is a beautiful viewpoint on the nature reserve.
