The "Grote Plas" was created in the 60s of the 20th century by excavating sand for the construction of some new residential areas in the area. Near the water is now the recreation area Delfse Hout with, among other things, a deer camp, a petting zoo with water playground, a beach and a campsite. There are several cycling and hiking trails through the area, so feel free to deviate from the GPX route.
