Kijkduin is a district of The Hague located within the dunes and by the beach. There is a boulevard with shops and also a lookout tower. Kijkduin is the smallest of the two seaside resorts in The Hague.
At the end of the 19th century (when The Hague was still quite 'far' away), a few hotels were built here. Around 1900, Kijkduin was not much smaller than the resort of Scheveningen. However, the growth that Scheveningen experienced afterward has not yet occurred in Kijkduin.
