Pastor Jacobus "Bruno" Spruit O.F.M. was presented with a Statue of the Sacred Heart by the parishioners on the occasion of his golden profession in 1934. The statue was unveiled the following year, on Sunday 30 June 1935, and is placed next to the entrance of the monumental Saint Judocus Church.
The statue is a marble Christ figure at his feet, dressed in a draped robe. He points with his link finger to the flaming Sacred Heart on his chest. He holds his right arm down the body, palm forward. The statue stands on a pedestal, in which an inscription is affixed with the text
