Bird watching in 't Oudeland

The Oudeland van Strijen is a beautiful area for those looking for peace and space. The peatlands are known for the migratory birds that hibernate here. Nowadays you can see many species of geese that stay here all year round. You can also see many meadow birds. This area was discovered decades ago by nature lovers and bird watchers.

This route runs past the newly placed birdwatching hut. This part we walk along the beautiful Keen. If we continue on the road we arrive at the old pumping station. This is also a bird lookout. Many meadow birds can be spotted throughout the area. While enjoying the whistling around you you will see frogs, birds, rabbits and pheasants and what else for anyone who wants to see it.

This top route through nature is particularly beautiful in April and May when rapeseed, whistlewort and buttercups bloom and the fields show yellow and white.

A summer sun and of course the winter with its migratory birds are the perfect times for many beautiful things.

In humid periods, waterproof shoes are not an unnecessary luxury.
