The parish church of the parish, named after Saint Christopher, was built to replace the old church of the Benedictine monastery founded by Bishop Hermógio, possibly in the 9th century.
The church has a simple but harmonious architecture with baroque influences. In the forecourt stands a granite crucifix, the Cruzeiro Paroquial , which together with the church is an important religious monument in the region.
