Until 2019 you could regularly see the artist Panamarenko and his wife Eveline Hoorens walking in the vicinity of Sint-Maria-Oudenhove. In this beautiful village they lived together for years. Panamarenko died here on 14/12/2019. In a column read aloud by his widow Eveline Hoorens, she paid tribute to him. There she also mentioned that the funny song " Shame and Scandal in the Family" by Shwan Elliott was their favorite song that they played when they walked together in this beautiful region.
