Nederhasselt

Nederhasselt is a village in the municipality of Ninove, in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The village is located in the Dender region in Zandlemig Vlaanderen.The rural residential village of Nederhasselt is 402 hectares in size and is located in a strongly hilly landscape that varies between 20 and 70 m. The municipality is located ± 4.5 km from Ninove and borders Heldergem to the north, Outer to the east and Aspelare to the south and west. The village centre is located in the south on the wide valley of the Molenbeek, which flows into the Dender at Ninove. The Geraardsbergen-Aalst road cuts through the municipality in the west, creating a residential concentration here as well. In addition to the village, there are three other districts: Vogelenzang, Terbert and Slettem.
