The series "The Twelve" is undoubtedly one of the best crime series made in the Low Countries. The story of a double murder takes place in Zulte. The series also gained international recognition.
The series was filmed in the courthouse of Ghent. There were also recordings in Lede, Kruishoutem, swimming pool LAGO Gent Rozebroeken and Ghent and neighbouring municipalities. The scenes in the cinema were shot in Sint-Gillis-Dendermonde in Cinema Albert. When Frie is shown in prison, it is in prison De Koepel in Breda. This prison is no longer in service and is used for a prison-escape-game, among other things.
