Once there were numerous shipyards along the banks of the Scheldt. More than 20 years ago, one of the largest in Belgium, the Boelwerf, closed its doors for good. On this walk you will discover the places that were important within the shipyard. In seven places, ship pylons tell the story of the Boelwerf. What types of ships were built here? What steps are taken when building and launching a ship?
