Vespa Club Tessenderlo

Club ride: October 8, 2023 - departure 1 PM.

Due to bad weather, the ride was postponed to May 7. Given the nice weather and pleasant temperatures today, it was decided to have one last extra ride to officially end the Vespa season.

The gratitude from our members was great and the turnout was high. We started at the club house with 45 Vespas and even more members considering the duo riders who are always part of the group.

We rode from Tessenderlo towards the nature reserve of Lummensbroek and then on to Wijer. Of course, our ride master had again made an effort to choose the most beautiful accessible roads. We stopped for the first time at the floating chapel where we were able to take some nice photos of the members present. A little further on, we stopped again at Café Lievenshof. An old café with café owners who have their hearts in the right place. They run this authentic establishment like no other with very democratic prices that you won't find anymore these days and are certainly very rare.

The café owner Nancy, who has run this business for 28 years, addresses all her regular customers by their first name. This is what it means to work with great passion! Be sure to stop by to quench your thirst and take a look inside this authentic establishment.

After quenching our thirst and having a pleasant chat, we continued the ride towards the finish line. We passed Rummen, Halen, Schaffen to arrive back at the club house in Tessenderlo.
