This day tour takes you along five different nature reserves and heritage sites in Brasschaat. The walk leads along waterways, over the boardwalk in the municipal park, but also past ponds in the park domain De Mik – with its centuries-old drawbridge – and the E10 pond where numerous water birds live.

Along the way, you have plenty of opportunities to take a nice break: a game of mini-golf, a cozy terrace, or a visit to the children's farm with its vegetable garden and farm shop.

As the cherry on top, you walk part of the way along the anti-tank ditch. With a bit of luck, you might spot a kingfisher here. The loop-shaped route of 25 km starts and ends at the swimming pool. After the hike, you can unwind in the wellness facilities in Brasschaat.

If you're not done walking yet and would like to collect a few more kilometers, you can make a trip to military domain Klein Schietveld at walking junction 6. You will walk past the Fort of Brasschaat, through a piece of open heathland, and along hidden military bunkers.
