GR16 Poupehan - All via Frahan - Return via Rochehaut - Difficult

Variant of the most beautiful hike in Belgium: Bouillon-Vresse via the GR16 , which is not a loop.

This variant is a loop and makes the most difficult but most beautiful part of the hike. It should not be underestimated, especially the first part of Rochehaut goes up and down !
Start at Poupehan , where there is plenty of parking and a café.

We immediately go on local hiking trail #1 to Le Ragi . 26. Where the route meets the GR16 , which we finally follow until Alle , it turns left and climbs the stairs and climbs and climbs to Rochehaut. Nice view of Frahan and gastronomy.

Continue on the GR16 to Frahan with many restaurants. Along the Frahan and Grand Opimont ridges to Alle.

From Alle again a steep ascent to Rochehaut and back through the Semois to Poupehan.

Optionally , the first part, from Poupehan to Alle, can be covered by canoe . In this case it's more fun to start at Alle and walk to Poupehan and then canoe back.

There is an easier version of this hike that does not involve the Frahan steps and ridges . A group can be divided into 2, with the “light” group driving this route and the “heavy” the other, while the stops are the same and the groups can meet.
