Bentille

On this walk, all the ingredients of the Scheldt polders are on the program. Polders, dikes and drainage canals are the work of human hands. Creeks, on the other hand, bear witness to flooding and the failures of centuries of struggle against the water. Now all the danger of water disasters has disappeared and the scars of the medieval floods have become idyllic places. For the real adventurers there is an extension along the reed collars of the most beautiful creek: the Boerekreek. Don't forget your boots.
DEPARTURE POINT The church of Bentille can be reached by leaving the N49-E34 and driving on the N456 via Kaprijke towards Watervliet and Breskens. 3 km past the center of Kaprijke take the N434 on the left and after 800 m you reach the church.

NATURE OF THE ROAD
Concrete roads interspersed with gravel, earth and grass roads, a busier passage near Sint-Laureins.
ACCESSIBILITY
Impossible for buggies and wheelchairs; for the passage along the Boerekreek boots are not an unnecessary luxury in wet weather.
