The Bielsteinhöhle nature reserve with Lukenloch is located near Horn-Bad Meinberg in the district of Lippe and has a total area of around 18.9 ha. The area is numbered LIP-020 and is located between Veldrom and Schlangen.
The Bielstein Gorge is a collapse doline. It is about 300 m long and runs in a crescent shape from southwest to north. The walls are made of light, highly fissured limestone and rise up to 15 m. In prehistoric times, it served as a place of refuge and settlement.
