Marienthal Abbey was a Cistercian monastery in Eckartsberga in Saxony-Anhalt from 1291 to 1539. It is not to be confused with numerous monasteries of the same name.
Bruno von Langenbogen, Bishop of Naumburg, founded the Marienthal nunnery near the town of Eckartsberga in 1291. In 1525, the Cistercian nuns left the monastery. In 1535 it was inhabited by only one nun and in 1539 it was officially abolished. In the hands of several owners, the buildings fell into disrepair. The monastery was demolished by the Münchhausen family. In the immediate vicinity, Marienthal Castle was built in 1730.
