Solingen to Haan-Hülsberg
In the first part of this section of the neanderland STEIG, we first go through the heath, the Ohligser Heide. Past the forest pool, which should actually be called Heidebad, past exciting landscape formations. Then we reach Hilden and pass the forest barracks, where the Bundeswehr training music corps may play the hiking (marching) song for us.
In the second part of the stage, the neanderland STEIG leads us crisscross through the Hildener city forest. It goes along the Hoxbach and finally along a dog field beyond the federal road, past the Jaberg tower into the Hildener Heide. Then there is still an alpine adventure waiting for us, as we climb the Sandberg to enjoy a last view of Hilden. Because we finally arrive in Haan, where this stage ends.
