Braunschweig is a northern German city about 60 kilometers east of Hanover. The Innenstadt is completely surrounded by a moat created by changing the course of the river Oker around the city. As a result, Braunschweig is surrounded by a continuous ring of greenery in which some beautiful parks are located.
