The conservatory of Vannes is a departmental conservatory located in Vannes and controlled by the State. It was founded in 1908 by Lucien Laroche. It is currently financed by the city of Vannes, the general council of Morbihan, and the regional council of Brittany. The Conservatory offers courses in music, ancient music, traditional music, contemporary music, as well as in theater and plastic arts. It also offers introductory workshops in music, theater, and plastic arts from the age of 5.
