🌳 Starting point: Château de Belleaucourt – Coulommes-la-Montagne

You begin your walk in the quiet Coulommes-la-Montagne, at the stately Château de Belleaucourt. This elegant mansion, surrounded by ancient trees, marks the start of a journey full of history and charm. Walk along rural roads out of the village and head towards your first spiritual stop.

⛪ Église Saint-Remi de Coulommes-la-Montagne

A few minutes later, you pass the Église Saint-Remi, a simple yet charming church with deep roots in local history. The tranquility here is characteristic of the entire region: restrained, etched in time.

🌄 Chapel among the vines: Chapelle Saint-Lié de Ville-Dommange

You continue your way along vineyard paths and woodland passages to one of the most beautiful spots on the walk: the Chapelle Saint-Lié. This small, whitewashed chapel sits on a ridge above the village of Ville-Dommange, nestled between the grapevines. From here, you have a panoramic view of the plain towards Reims – an ideal place for a break, picnic, or some reflection.

🏰 Village of Sacy – Château and Église Saint-Remi

After a gentle descent, you enter the lovely village of Sacy. This village radiates a calm grandeur, with its narrow streets and limestone houses. You pass the Château de Sacy, now a charming hotel and wine estate. Just nearby is another Église Saint-Remi, featuring a beautiful bell tower and Romanesque influences.

🍇 Walking through the wine country – Towards Jouy-lès-Reims

The route continues winding through the rolling vineyards, with beautiful views over the landscape of the Champagne region. In Jouy-lès-Reims, you discover the Église Notre-Dame, a modest church with medieval foundations. Take time to look around here or enjoy the peace on a bench under the linden trees.

⛪ Final stop: Église Saint-Martin de Pargny-lès-Reims

Via rural paths, you reach Pargny-lès-Reims, a village with just a few streets, but once again a beautiful church: the Église Saint-Martin, dedicated to the famous Roman soldier and saint. The church is slightly elevated, offering a view of the surrounding vineyards and forests.

🏁 Back to Coulommes – Ending among the trees

The last kilometers take you back through quiet country roads and light forests to Coulommes-la-Montagne. You end your walk as you began: at the Château de Belleaucourt, where you may see sunlight glistening through the trees on the castle's facade if you're lucky.
