This route takes you through the most challenging climbing area within the Dutch borders, the southern part of South Limburg. Over a distance of 107 kilometers, 1620 meters of elevation are covered, which is more than the 89 kilometers and 1280 meters of the easier variant. Along the way, you will cycle up 5 of the 10 steepest climbs in South Limburg, but that's not all in terms of climbing. If you start in Maastricht, the first five kilometers are almost horizontal, nice for warming up. The landscape is heavily cultivated but beautifully arranged. You can fully enjoy this because the route mostly runs over quiet, narrow roads.
