The fantastic car-free routes of Haren-Haren traverse the unique Hondsrug region. The ice ages shaped ridges and valleys filled with prehistoric treasures. A landscape that is timeless. Since 2013, this area has been named the Hondsrug UNESCO Geopark. The prehistoric man left us his treasures here. For thousands of years, people have shaped a landscape that is timeless.
You ride along heath fields, through forest areas, over cobblestones, over real hills, and between meadows. Everything that makes Groningen and Drenthe so beautiful! You can expect a relaxed atmosphere and excellent care along the way!
The cycling classic Haren-Haren will take place on Sunday, July 7th for the 11th time. Together with you, we want to make it a party again!
You can choose from the following distances: 50 km, 105 km, and 165 km. For years, this ride has been awarded the 'Extra well organized' label by the NTFU.
The 165 km is the ultimate challenge and crosses borders with a visit to Germany.
You will be welcomed as a hero upon your return, where you can chat on the square and enjoy music with a snack and a drink.
