During this walking route through Gulpen-Wittem, you will discover the heart of the Heuvelland. Following walking junctions, you will walk through the rolling landscape from castle to castle, interspersed with the long tradition of brewing beer in this region. You will pass by Buitenplaats Kasteel Wijlre, where art and landscape come together, and see Kasteel Neubourg and Kasteel Cartils in the surrounding hilly area (not publicly accessible).

In Wijlre and Gulpen, you will come across two historical breweries: the Brand Brewery, active since 1340, and the Gulpener Brewery, where local beer has been brewed for generations. An alternating route where heritage, landscape, and craft come together.
