In South Limburg there are several signposted mountain bike trails with a total length of more than 500 kilometers. The routes are linked together by connectors, creating a network that ultimately covers the whole of South Limburg. It is therefore possible to discover the entire region by mountain bike. This network structure is unique in the Netherlands.

The Valkenburg route is a route for advanced skiers. The route includes long slopes and hilly stretches of forest. In addition to Valkenburg, the route also calls at Sibbe and Schin op Geul. The route is also easily accessible by public transport (Valkenburg or Schin op Geul). A cozy brown pub, where you can enjoy a nice drink or bite to eat afterwards is never far away.

The routes are situated in such a way that the mountain biker gets his money's worth, but that the most vulnerable surface, forests and nature reserves are spared. So a kind request not to deviate from the routes and never drive through vegetations.

For reasons of clarity and safety, the routes are signposted to one direction: clockwise.

Please note: The signage of this route has been disrupted by vandalism for some time. We recommend using the available gpx or a pdf of the route when driving. In addition, this MTB route currently has a temporary diversion in the Polferbos due to work. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
