The route was created by me at the request of Eurode as an activity related to the Hertog Limburpad. A unique hiking trail between Rolduc Abbey, the associated Baalsbrugger Mühle and the castle in Rimburg.
The route has a historical value with a story from the distant past. The buildings you'll meet on this route aren't all open to the public. The castle in Rimburg is still privately owned and the Baalsbruggermolen have limited access. Departure is from the imposing Rolduc complex, Rolduc, where you can spend a full day taking in the sights.
The area between these structures is of high natural value. The border river Wurm meanders through it and the beaver also has its territory here. See the sights before you start walking, and make a selection, otherwise you won't be able to walk.
