Station Brugge-Sint-Pieters is a railway station along line 51. It is located halfway between the Bruges main station and the branch at Blauwe Toren in the Bruges neighborhood of Sint-Pieters-op-den-Dijk.
For a long time, there was a large station building. The architects of the Brugge-Sint-Pieters station were Denys from Brussels and Oscar De Breuck from Bruges. It was built in neo-Renaissance style between 1904 and 1909. It was grandly conceived due to the expected population growth as a result of the construction of the new Bruges seaport. However, due to the difficult initial developments of the port, the station was used less than anticipated in the beginning. In 1940, the Belgian army was quartered there, and upon capitulation, the building was looted and severely ravaged. The building was finally demolished in 1957. Only the passenger tunnel was spared from demolition and is still in use. It is the only tangible remnant of the largest station that Brugge-Sint-Pieters once had.
