North passage

During the corona period, Nieuwstraat underwent a temporary redesign with separated walking paths in different directions, roundabouts, and 'fuel stations' with disinfectant gel. All to guide the unrelenting streams of shoppers in the right direction. Just go with the flow for a bit, but take a right turn about 50 meters further.

The Noorddoorgang is a calm connection between Nieuwstraat and De Brouckèreplein. After the Royal St. Hubertus galleries, it was the most important covered shopping street in 19^th-century Brussels. In this multifunctional space, living, working, dining, and strolling come together. The cream-colored facades and soft lighting create an intimate atmosphere.
