In the village center of Berlare lies the castle with park. The building dates back to a moated farm from the 13th century. The estate belonged to the lord of Berlare. It was rebuilt in the early 18th century by the Van der Meersche family after being destroyed by the troops of Louis XIV. In 2008, the municipal administration purchased the castle of Berlare. The castle and the outbuildings are not accessible to the public; the park is. On the right, you see horse stables and the quarters of the grooms; on the left, the caretaker's house. These outbuildings contain Rococo elements. Between the horse stables and the pond stands a greenhouse attached to the stables and a wooden pigeon loft.

→ The Castle Park in Berlare is accessible to walkers and cyclists, where you can discover the large garden with avenues, a forest, and ponds. The very young can expend their energy in the natural play area.
