GUESTHOUSE FOREST WALK 10KM - - Along Castle de Maurissens! Pellenberg

Start at Castle de Maurissens. When we walk past the castle, we come to a field road behind the castle. We walk 250 meters to the Sint Barabaradreef, which we cross. We enter the Papenveld where we always keep to the left until we reach the Ganzendries. We turn right, and after 200 meters, we turn left into the Kleine Ganzendries. After 150 meters, we turn right into the Steenbergwegje; here you need to pay attention, as this is really a small path that you can easily walk past. We climb alongside this path for 200 meters until we arrive at the church of Pellenberg. We continue to follow the road until, after 300 meters, we turn right into the Fonteinstraat. We cross the Lostraat and continue following the road until we reach the Kapelstraat. We turn left here and after 100 meters turn left again; at the corner of this point, we see the Sint-Anna chapel. As we continue walking, the concrete path changes to a meadow path that we will follow for 750 meters through the pastures with an open landscape. When we reach a T-junction with the Kapelledreef, we turn left. After 250 meters, we come across the Gulden Gehucht, an organic farm. At this point, we have covered a total of 3 km. We continue walking and arrive at an intersection. We turn left into the Zavelstraat, a descending cobblestone street. We follow this cobblestone street for 500 meters; then, it continues for another 200 meters into a regular asphalt road. We turn left into the Lindenweg. From this point, we will get to know the most beautiful parts of the Gasthuisbos. For the first 300 meters, we walk through an avenue, but after the avenue, we see a very beautiful landscape. After this, we walk another kilometer through the forest and pass some beautiful pieces of nature. When we leave the Gasthuisbos and turn right into the Meistraat, we have covered 5.5 km in total. We now walk 1.25 km along the Meistraat. We cross the Lostraat and then turn right at the junction. We now walk 700 meters down a descending hollow road to Nederblok (street). We turn left here. After 600 meters, we turn right into Onze-Lieve-Vrouwestraat. After 400 meters, we turn left into Varenbergstraat, walking another 250 meters until we reach Ganzendries. We turn right and after 150 meters, we turn left into a road through open meadows. After 600 meters, we arrive at the Koebos. At the junction, we turn left and go through the wooden gate. We now stay along the edge of this forest, taking a few bridges over the flowing rivers in this forest. Eventually, we arrive at Gravenveldstraat and turn left. After 200 meters, we turn left at the intersection. We walk along a field path for another 600 meters until we return to Castle Park de Maurissens. In total, we have covered 10 km.
