Beverdijk Walking Path

The IJzerbroeken form the boundary between the polders and the sandy loam area that lies further inland. This watery landscape is a beautiful starting point for the exploration of the Westhoek. You start from the charming village of Pollinkhove, a part of Lo-Reninge. The Lovaart takes you to the lock complex of Fintele. Here you continue along the towpath of the IJzer. Along the centuries-old Dike of Veurne-Ambacht and the expansive grasslands of the Kievitshoek, you walk to the Grote Beverdijkvaart. The Hullebrugweg refers to a bridge arch over the Lovaart. This brings you back to your starting point.

This walking route is integrated as a suggestion loop in the walking network map of the IJzer Valley. There will no longer be a separate folder with a map for the walking route, but the signage will remain.
