Gelinden and nature reserves - Val and Oli

Very beautiful walk in Hesbaye, in the province of Limburg, in the fruit-growing regions. Numerous gently sloping hills, conducive to orchards and vineyards. In spring, most orchards are in bloom (white), it's splendid! Along the path, there are magnificent views, and especially two nature reserves. The first, Egoven, runs alongside several streams. It can be wet in rainy weather. Several tables are available for picnics, but an anti-mosquito spray can help. The walk ends at the second nature reserve, Overbroek, on the hillside, with stunning landscapes and flowering meadows.
Apart from the start and two small sections of 200 meters, the entire walk is on paths, trails, or concrete ways reserved for agricultural traffic, with hardly any traffic.
Start: Gelinden-Dorp 49-57, 3800 Gelinden (Sint-Truiden). Large free parking in front of the village school.
