The outflows of the Bend in the Ourthe

Sportive walk along the steep and forested slopes of the Bocht flank in the Ourthe, classified as exceptional heritage of Wallonia. This Natura 2000 area is best discovered by following the GR from Roche aux Faucons (which coincidentally also coincides with the way to Compostela). The path follows the rocky hilltops along beautiful viewpoints and through steep deciduous forests, ultimately reaching the banks of the Ourthe with its rich fauna and flora. Close to Rosière, there is a small clearing for picnicking. To climb back to the starting point, hikers follow paths no. 39, 38, 45, 26, 36, Rue Rosière, and roads no. 27, 20, and 1 through fields, meadows, and sunken roads, passing near the listed Strivay castle among other sites. The route is not marked, but there is an online roadbook on the website www.neupre.be that is also available in the free OVA apps and on SityTour.
