Nature walk at Dave

This walk, almost entirely through forests, provides a beautiful view of the local fauna and flora. The landscape alternates between streams, bushes, and alluvial plains. Therefore, one can observe remarkable birds and insects throughout the seasons. A beautiful example is the queen page butterfly. This large day butterfly with deeply indented wings of exceptional colorful splendor loves wild gardens with an abundance of flowers. Dave is also known for his little island. This patch of land in the middle of the Maas is a protected nature reserve with interesting biodiversity. Among the valuable natural heritage of Dave, we also consider the Rochers du Néviau, a wall of rocks that are very popular with climbers. This rock face, 40 to 70 meters high, is difficult to climb in several places, especially at the overhanging sections. In terms of architecture, you can admire the castle with the surrounding park along the Maas. The main parts date back to the 17th and 18th centuries.
