Lorraine Gaumaise: Border Hiking from Herbeumont (B) to Marville (F)

This 74 km long long-distance hiking route consists of sections of various long loops from the "Patrimoine & Paysage de la Lorraine Gaumaise" network. These routes are marked with a yellow stripe and the logo of Lorraine Gaumaise (see photo here). Here and there, I have added small connecting sections myself (which are not marked).

The route takes you through the most beautiful landscapes of Gaume and French Lorraine, along the highlights of this border region:
- the castle ruins of Herbeumont
- the grounds of the Château de Les Epioux
- the Centre d'Interprétation du Paysage de la Lorraine Gaumaise in Florenville
- the Abbey of Orval
- the 'Field Basilica' of Avioth
- the citadel of Montmédy
- Torgny, one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia
- the Renaissance town of Marville
