Tour from Kemmel-Heuvelland with a gentle, a flat, and a hilly section featuring some steep climbs.

Along the way, you will encounter several military cemeteries and after 3 km a border stone. This is a monument that approximately indicates how far the German Western Front extended during World War I.

You start with a gentle section, followed by a flat section up to kilometer 30. You ride on paved roads through the fields and along the banks of the Leie, on the border between Belgium and France.

In the second part of the bike route, you take another loop through the hills and ascend the Kemmelberg from the east, the Rodeberg (twice), the Sulferberg, and the Scherpenberg.

You can easily make the tour easier by taking shortcuts. For example, by turning left onto Lettingstraat after 40 km and thus avoiding the steep section of the Kemmelberg.

On the Rodeberg, you can choose a shortcut by not taking the loop to Westouter and turning right instead of left at the intersection of Rodebergstraat-Schomminkelstraat.

The route is suitable for city bikes with enough gears or an e-bike, but also for road bikes. In total, you will ride 65 km with over 600 meters of elevation to conquer.
