Vlaams-Brabant still has many beautiful unpaved paths. On this Treinstapper you will get to know a part of these lovely trails. If you start in Wespelaar, you will reach the particularly beautiful Haacht's Broek after just 1 km. You will quickly find yourself in the quiet village of Wakkerzeel. Between Wakkerzeel and the mill of Rotselaar, you will enjoy a long field path with typical Dijle landscapes. A stretch of paved road will later take you to the banks of the Dijle, where white swans contribute to an idyllic scenery. Pretty surroundings with a pleasant mix of small forests and green meadows lead you to the elevated Sint-Gertrudisbos. After some ups and downs, you stand on the roof of Leuven: Kesselberg. Admire the skyline of Leuven at the orientation panel. Through a series of narrow paths between the residents' gardens, you will reach the hiking tree at the entrance of the Provincial Recreation Area. From here, you follow the GR city variant that crosses this impressive park. For your final destination, the train station of Leuven, you still have 1 km to walk.
