Sint-Pietersberg from Petit Lanaye

Hiking on the Sint-Pietersberg. This route only slightly overlaps with the marked paths. Even on beautiful days, you will not be hiking in a crowd.
The car stays at the parking lot at Petit Lanaye. From there, it's immediately up to the plateau with a beautiful view over both the Meuse and the canal. At the beginning, the path is narrow and steeply ascends here and there. At the steep points, ropes are hanging to assist with climbing. Once you reach the top, there are stunning views. You also hike along wildflower meadows, orchards, and past the farm Caestert. The way down again leads through the forest. The route is varied and adventurous and is only suitable for people who are fit and wear good shoes. This route is not suitable for winter weather or very muddy days due to the narrow paths on the slope. Not suitable for small children, strollers, or wheelchairs.
