Long-distance hiking trail Roswithaweg: Nienburg-Bad Gandersheim

The long-distance hiking trail Roswithaweg is a contribution of the Hanoverian Hiking and Mountaineering Club (HWG) to the 1000th anniversary of Roswitha von Gandersheims death in 1973. It is consistently marked by the HWG with the marking symbol XR and leads in 13 stages from Nienburg on the Weser to Bad Gandersheim on the edge of the Harz mountains. Stages and walking direction are suggestions and can be freely chosen.Roswitha von Gandersheim (* around 935: † after 973) was a canoness of the Gandersheim Abbey, from which the present-day town of Bad Gandersheim in Lower Saxony emerged.
