The beautiful and unregulated Vegen Å passes through Skovlund Plantation and runs together with Storå in the center of Holstebro. From the town center, you can walk or cycle along Vegen Å on paths that lead you to Skovlund Plantation. Here, there is a marked nature trail.
By following the marked nature trail around the forest, you get a good impression of the varied forest. Along the way, you will pass several ancient burial mounds.
Take note of the waterholes you pass on this part of the trip. Several species of toads breed in these small forest ponds, including both great and small water salamanders.
Along the route, there are signs with small tasks. The answer can be found on the next sign (go in the direction of the clock).
