Hjertestien Blovstrød

The Heart Path in Blovstrød allows you to walk several different routes. All routes start from Blovstrød Hall and then along Øster Teglværksvej to Blovstrød Teglværksvej, where there are 2 paths to walk. One route continues straight along Østre Teglværksvej, past the remaining beautiful buildings from Blovstrød Teglværk, under the S-train line, and then along the edge of Kattehale Mose and past Allerød Lake, to the underpass under the S-train line (follow the signs), which we go under again and pass XL-byg, where Allerød Teglværk was previously located, then along Teglhaven and Sortemosevej back to Blovstrød Hall. If you turn right from Østre Teglværksvej onto Blovstrød Teglværksvej to the railway crossing at Storkeved railway crossing, and then left along the train tracks towards Bovstrød Banen. Blovstrød Banen uses remnants of tracks and equipment from the brickworks and can be seen at blovstrodbanen.dk/banen. Before reaching the train's stop, the path crosses the railway to the right and goes through Kattehale Mose, following the signs along and under the S-train line to the path by Allerød Lake. If you now go right, you follow the first mentioned path back to Blovstrød Hall. If you instead go left, you take the first mentioned path back to Blovstrød Hall.

The area bears clear marks from the active brickwork period, where Blovstrød Teglværk from 1860 to 1982 was one of Northern Europe's largest brickworks, and among other things, Grundtvig's Church is built from bricks from Blovstrød Teglværk.
