Through Puerto de Finestrat and Relleu you reach the difficult ascent of Alto de Teix (with 14% in many sections). In Torremanzanas many cyclists climb to the top of the Port of Benifallim to reach Benifallim. However, this route goes to Jijona (written in Catalan as Xixona) and climbs to the Port of Carrasqueta: a fairly long and very gradual ascent over a wide road and almost continuously beautiful views to the east. The road is now quiet due to the nearby A7 motorway.

Then you go up to the short Alto de Ermita Sant Antonio. The road surface is moderate, but that's not so bad in a climbing direction. The descent to the city of Alcoy is much longer than the climb and has excellent road surfaces.

It follows a busy stretch of road of about 1.5 km (connecting road Alcoy and A7 motorway). Then it is quiet again on the way to Benifallim. By the way, a Greenway runs through Alcoy: an old railway line transformed into a bike lane. For three quarters it is paved through the green with 14 illuminated tunnels (although according to the forums it is clear that the lighting is not always on and is therefore completely dark in the tunnels). This track goes down the Alto de Ermita Sant Antonio through a viaduct over the bike path.

From Benifallim you go to Penaguila. If you still have strength in your legs, deviate from this track in Peña and make room for a detour for the climb to Alto de la Peña del Águila: 1.1 km of ascent with an average of 17.3% and a maximum of 30%!

Through the Port of Tudons, Sella goes back through the coastal region to Benidorm.

If you decide to go directly to Benifallim in Torremanzanas, the route will be 36 kilometers shorter.
