Centre culturel de La Mégisserie

La Mégisserie was created in 2005 at the initiative of the communauté de communes, on the site of the former abattoirs in Saint-Junien, in order to develop artistic projects, united to a desire for cultural democratization and territorial anchoring. La Mégisserie is a theater whose multi-disciplinary programming explores the performing arts in all their forms, whenever they are singular, innovative and offer new narratives. It regularly links up with the Ciné-Bourse and hosts exhibitions. La Mégisserie is present throughout the region through its "hors-les-murs" programming, which it develops in collaboration with local communities, and also runs participatory projects, workshops and cultural initiatives with educational players and local associations. The program: online, at the Porte Océane tourist information office, Saint-Junien town hall.
